This collection represents Granny’s (Maudie Ellen Redfern Shelton) family. The earliest photos appear to be in the early 1920’s. She had five sisters. When I was a little girl, they would all come to see us fairly regularly or we would go to see them. Granny held the family on both sides together. Even after we were grown and didn’t see the family much, she would always tell us that so and so is doing this or that. After she passed away much of the family has drifted apart.

We are hoping through these pages to bring family back together again…if not in person, at least through the web.

The majority of these documents came from Granny’s (Maudie Ellen Redfern Shelton) papers. There is a good amount of information on the obituaries. We still have a stack of them that we don’t know who the people are. Edith Shelton Talbott sent the copy of Grandpa and Grandma Redfern’s marriage license.
